ASICS GEL Kayano 17 Running Shoes Video Review
asics gel foundation 9 or asics kayano 17?
i have really flat feet and have recently developed plantar fasciitis. the pain in my heel has subsided now after several weeks of stretching and icing, so now i want to go back to running.
i got orthotic shoe inserts, but they're really uncomfortable. so, now i'm looking for shoes that can provide sufficient support to keep my pf from flaring again when i run.
i'm looking at the kayano 17 or the foundation 9. i'm leaning towards the foundation because it's a motion control shoe (and because it's a heck of a lot cheaper) as opposed to the kayano, which is a stability shoe. just want to get some more feedback though.

Usually with plantar fasciitis a motion control shoe is indicated, so you wouldn't be out of line to go with the Foundation. I also know several runners who have had good luck managing their PF in New Balance Shoes, because they tend to specialize more in shoes with a higher arch, so if you're interested in looking at other options, you could check with them.
